Youth Power Collective

Through the Youth Power Collective (YPC), youth put their learning from our Storytelling for Social Change curriculum into action by leading social change projects in their communities.

Through the YPC, groups of young people identify an issue to focus on, create project plans rooted in community input, and realize their visions for change. We provide compensation to youth and the teachers who guide them, opportunities for learning and connecting with peers, and funding for project execution.

Our Youth Advisory Council piloted the YPC in Spring 2024. Learn about their projects and read their reflections in our Archive of Youth Voice and Power.

During the 2024-2025 school year, teachers and youth in Atlanta, Chicago, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, and Chula Vista are piloting the program in their schools.
